This weekend is Mother’s Day!
Miffy loves her Mummy very much and wants to tell her “Thank you” for all the wonderful things she does every day. Below are some instructions on how to make a miniature book that you can fill with all the things you love about your Mummy. Each page can be something new to say thank you for!
Tell us why you want to thank your Mummy! Make sure to take pictures of your books, and of your wonderful Mummy, and tag Miffy’s Instagram or Facebook.
Materials:
- One piece of construction paper
- Scissors (Need an adult to help)
- Pencils, markers, stickers, or whatever else you need to decorate!
Instructions:
Step 1: Fold the paper in half along the dotted line below.
Step 2: Open the paper so you see the fold down the middle, and fold the paper in half the other direction, along the dotted line below.
Step 3: Fold it in half downwards again, along the dotted line below.
When unfolded, your paper should have a fold along every dotted line in the picture below.
Step 4: Cut a slit in the paper along the long middle line, between the first and third horizontal lines
Step 5: Fold the paper in half along the long middle line, and pull apart the middle corners in the slit, as seen below.
When pulled apart, it should look like a + sign.
Step 6: Push all the sides to line up together, and you should have a small book.
Step 7: Fill the pages with Thank you’s! Decorate however you would like to celebrate your Mummy.
